The Brunswick Centre, located between Kings Cross and Russell Square, is one of London's most recognisable and iconic buildings from the 1960s.

 

Conceived by the Architect Patrick Hodgkinson, the grade II listed building provides low-rise high-density housing, shops, offices, studios, a cinema and car parking, within an impressive concrete and glass structure.

 

Gunite (Eastern) Ltd was awarded the specialist package to clean, repair and refurbish the 50,000 square metres of concrete and render surfaces, internally and externally.

 

Scope of Works:

  • Surface cleaning of concrete and render
  • Survey and inspection to identify defects
  • Concrete and render repairs, finished to match the surrounding concrete
  • Fairing coat and pore stopper to fill minor defects
  • Removal and replacement of joint sealants
  • Application of anti-carbonation coatings
