Fire Safety Compliance by Gunfire

Gunfire Fire Safety Compliance

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO 2005) came into force on 1st October 2006, replacing most existing general fire safety legislation in England and Wales.

Under this legislation the Responsible Person must carry out a Fire-Risk Assessment and take general fire safety precautions to ensure the safety of building occupants and others who may be affected by the risk of a fire.

Anyone who has control of premises or a degree of control over certain areas or systems may be a Responsible Person. The Responsible Person can pass the task onto some other competent person, but he/she will still be responsible in law for meeting the order.

Gunfire specialises in the site application of passive fire protection systems, and can inspect, survey and install all fire protection materials and systems to new and existing buildings.  We can also undertake the Fire Risk Assessment thus ensuring full Fire Safety Compliance.

We will solve the problem of compliance by providing a fully inclusive service, including:

  • Carry out the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)
  • Survey and provide a Schedule of Work
  • Fully detailed price (no hidden extras)
  • Supply, install and/or repair the physical measures as identified in the FRA
  • Provide a management system for monitoring, recording and reviewing in order to implement the FRA
  • Provide full Certification via 3rd party accreditation LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board)

The FSO (2005) applies to virtually all premises and covers nearly every type of building, structure and open space, including:

  • Communal areas in multiple occupancy dwellings
  • Offices and Shops
  • Care Homes and Hospitals
  • Community Halls, places of worship and other community premises
  • Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants
  • Schools and Sports Centres
  • Hotels and Hostels
  • Factories and Warehouses

Services include the Design, Supply and Installation of:

  • Fire Stopping
  • Sealing of Ducts, Risers and Services
  • Fire Doors
  • Fire Walls/Curtains and Cavity Barriers
  • Fire Boarding
  • Intumescent Coatings
