Facade Cleaning and Restoration

Resized Image

When it comes to the cleaning, repair and restoration of the external façade of a building or structure, there is no substitute for experience. At Gunite we have contracts staff and site personnel who have been with us for over 20 years, which means there is very little that we haven’t dealt with before.

That said, we do not presume to know what is in a client’s mind and like to be clear on the brief before we start a project. A straight forward repair to a concrete framed building may only require a short site meeting, whereas a major conservation project, such as the restoration of 2 historically significant wind tunnels at Farnborough, could require extensive trials using different materials and techniques.

Cleaning Services

Gunite offers a consistently high standard of cleaning services across a wide range of techniques including:

  • JOS/Torc (Swirling vortex system)
  • DOFF steam cleaning
  • High and low pressure water cleaning
  • Wet and dry grit cleaning
  • Graffiti removal
  • Paint removal
  • Chemical cleaning

We have the in-house capabilities to undertake the following repair and restoration works:

  • Stone repair

  • Brick replacement
  • Brick re-facing
