Gunite - Partnering

Because of its strong customer focus, Gunite has been successful in developing long-term sustainable business through framework and partnering contracts using various procurement models, with both public and private sector customers.

The UK Government's Decent Homes initiative aims to bring all existing social housing up to a decent standard by 2010. Gunite is heavily involved in this scheme, working for numerous clients who include the following:

  • Balfour Beatty
  • Breyer Group
  • Ealing Homes
  • Hackney Homes
  • Hammersmith & Fulham Housing Management Services (HFHMS)
  • Haringey Homes
  • Homes for Islington
  • Kier Building Services
  • Lovell Partnerships
  • Manchester City Council
  • Mansell
  • Peabody Trust
  • Wates Living Space
  • Your Homes Newcastle

Gunite is also working with Wates Living Space on a six-year program of cyclical repairs and redecoration to the external fabric and communal areas of buildings owned by Peabody Trust.

Within the private sector, Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE) has employed Gunite under a three-year renewable Framework agreement since 1998.

During the ten-year period, Gunite has been the sole provider for the repair and refurbishment of all concrete structures across the region. Our fully trained staff and operatives are able to carry out inspections, often in remote locations, provide fully costed remedial schemes and undertake the works allowing SSE to accurately budget for the necessary repairs.
