Gunfire have pledged their support to Fire Door Safety Week as we know all too well how vital it is that all fire doors are properly installed, checked and maintained, but unfortunately how many are neglected. This year’s particular focus is specialised housing and HMOs (House in Multiple Occupation).

Fire Door Safety Week started in 2013 to promote the critical role that fire doors have in saving lives and to do everything possible to eradicate bad practice. A fire door is a vital part of a complete passive fire protection system which reduces the spread of fire and smoke through a building allowing lifesaving evacuation time between the outbreak of a fire and the time it takes to spread from one room to another.

All non-domestic premises must adhere to the fire safety order 2005, non-compliance could result in prosecution or a hefty fine.  For more comprehensive guidance take a look at this useful information.

Gunfire Ltd have over 25 years experience in Passive Fire Protection and a dedicated experienced team here to help you achieve compliance.
