Fire Protection Works for Social Housing at Balaam House
Gunfire’s fire protection included fire door refurbishment and fire stopping in service risers for Balaam House.
Balaam House is a 15 floor social housing block, built in the 1960’s.
Scope of Works for Balaam House
Gunfire was contacted by Sutton Housing to undertake fire protection works that comprised of the following:
- Fire stopping in the service risers on the stairwell
- Fire door refurbishment to Server Riser doors – new hinges, intumescent strips, intumescent grilles (where needed) and replacement of ply board with double layer pink board
- Fire door maintenance to communal doors – new hinges, strips, closers, intumescent letterboxes and lipping where needed

All fire stopping works are complete and have been carried out under Gunfire’s LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) accreditation.
