External Refurbishment by Gunite
We worked closely with our suppliers Ronacrete to provide a four stage concrete repair system for the project. We started by cutting out and preparing areas of damaged concrete, before priming, and then applying, a high build polymer modified mortar. Stage three included the application of a levelling mortar followed by protective and decorative coatings, greatly improving the integrity of the concrete appearance of the flats on the Estate, as well as providing protection from further corrosive damage for years to come.
Passive Fire Protection by Gunfire
Gunfire carried out the passive fire protection side of the works to achieve a 1 hour of fire resistance on service penetrations in masonry walls by using mastic, and also sealing round groups of services in concrete floor voids using both batt and mastic. Intumescent mastic beading was used for sealing abutments between different materials. General fire and safety signage were then provided to complete the job.
